Little Yogis at Yoga House offers yoga lessons for kids. It is a hatha-based yoga practice, focusing on kid-friendly poses, breathing, balance, and relaxation. Students will be guided through a fun series of poses where they can roar like a lion, flutter like a butterfly, learn to stand strong like a tree, and many more.
Yoga is a healthy and gentle exercise that involves stretching, and balance. Practicing yoga helps children get in touch with their emotions, release frustrations, and become aware of themselves through breathing, movement, and mindfulness. Children may modify poses to accommodate their individual abilities and comfort level. Classes are 45-60 minutes long depending on age group. |
Yoga House is located on a wooded nature preserve in East Vancouver, Washington. Surrounded by nature, Little Yogis offers a relaxing place to practice yoga. April through October, all classes take place outdoors unless the weather is bad. Our philosophy is that it is healthy for children to get outside, rain or shine. During the rainy season, indoor yoga classes are available in addition to the outdoor yoga deck. Due to limited space, drop-ins are not allowed. Our yoga classes are semi-private, with a maximum student to teacher ratio of 6 to 1. See our yoga studio gallery page for photos of the yoga space.
